Who is Alfie Duke?
My name is Alfie Duke – a proud Rochdale-born-and-bred musician with a lifelong passion for music. From as early as I can remember, music has been at the very heart of who I am. That passion truly took hold when I was just four years old, the age I first picked up a piano, guitar, and a pair of drumsticks. From that moment on, there was no looking back.
As I grew, so did my love for creating and performing music. After finishing high school, I formed a band with my four best mates – Poolera. What started as a group of friends making noise turned into something much bigger. Over the past few years, we’ve had the incredible experience of headlining Academy 3 not once, but twice, and playing nearly every iconic music venue Manchester has to offer. It’s been a wild, unforgettable ride.
Along the way, I also pursued formal training and recently completed a diploma in Music Production and Technology. With that under my belt, I’ve expanded my role in the music world – not just as a musician, but also as an educator, producer, and live sound engineer. I’ve built a professional-grade recording studio in my home, where I’ve helped shape the sound of emerging local talent, new artists, and rising bands.
In addition to studio work, I’ve developed a high-quality live mixing setup suitable for everything from intimate gigs and private parties to full-scale corporate events. My aim has always been to bring passion, professionalism, and a creative spark to every project I’m part of.
Now at university, I’m taking the next big step – launching my own business: Alfie Duke Music. It’s the culmination of years of hard work, creativity, and love for the craft. This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to see where the journey takes me next.
